We’re located in the heart of Silicon Valley, in the beautiful city of Menlo Park, California.
Our church was founded and inaugurated on December 18, 1988, in San Carlos, California, under the direction of Bishop Jesus Varela and Pastor Elias Castillo. For the past 38 years, Menlo Park has been our home, and we’re grateful to be part of this wonderful community.
Whether you’re young or young at heart, new to faith or have been walking with God for years, and whatever your age or life story, you are welcome here. We’re a community of people from different backgrounds and walks of life, united by our faith, our love for God, and our desire to serve others.
We are a multigenerational Apostolic community committed to following Jesus Christ, making disciples and living out the message of the Gospel. We believe in the Pentecost experience—the transforming power and presence of the Holy Spirit and we desire to create an environment where people of every generation can encounter God, grow in faith, discover their purpose, and live empowered by the Holy Spirit. PASTOR ARTURO ARIAS
Founder + Senior Pastor
Pastor Arturo Arias is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Eternal Life Church. For more than 38 years, he has faithfully led the congregation alongside his family with an unwavering commitment to preaching the Word of God, shepherding His people, and investing in the next generation of believers, leaders, and students of all ages.
Pastor Arias is a strong advocate for families, marriages, small groups, discipleship, and spiritual growth, embracing the “Strategy of Jesus” taught within the Apostolic Assembly. He believes that a strong relationship with God is cultivated through consistent prayer, meaningful community, and a commitment to following Jesus.
He is passionate about walking alongside people through their journey of transformation and restoration, believing that one of the greatest privileges of ministry is being present as God changes lives and restores what has been broken.
Pastor Arias also has a deep heart for the mission field. Throughout his years of ministry, he has had the opportunity to serve in various capacities in Mexico, Haiti, Panama, El Salvador, Chile, Nicaragua, and throughout the United States, carrying the Gospel and serving communities wherever God has opened the door.
MIRELLA ARIAS
Our First Lady
First Lady Mirella Arias is a strong and faithful source of strength to our Pastor, her family, and the entire Eternal Life Church community. Her dedication, attention to detail, and passion for serving others have been a tremendous blessing to the church since its beginning.
She has a special heart for leading and encouraging women, creating opportunities for them to grow in their faith, discover their God-given purpose, and strengthen their families and relationships.
Her unwavering support, presence, and partnership in ministry have played an invaluable role in the life of our church. She leads with grace, compassion, and a genuine love for people, continually reminding us of the beauty and power of a life devoted to Christ and His Kingdom.
PASTOR JOSH ARIAS
English Pastor
Pastor Josh serves as the English Pastor at Eternal Life Church. He is a graduate of San Francisco State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts, with an emphasis in Television and Music Production, as a member of the Class of 2006. He also holds an Associate of Arts degree in Theology from Northern Pacific Coast Bible College.
Pastor Josh is passionate about the local church and believes in using creative storytelling and digital experiences to communicate the Gospel and reach people beyond the walls of the church. He is committed to discipleship, meaningful in-person ministry, and inspiring the next generation to follow Jesus, discover their purpose, and make an impact in their world.
Pastor Josh has said “It’s an honor to co-labor with my parents and family”, continuing the legacy of faith and ministry that has shaped Eternal Life Church for generations. He is grateful for the opportunity to serve the community they love.
Pastor Josh resides in Sunnyvale, CA, with his two sons, JJ and Noah, and considers fatherhood one of his greatest privileges and honors.
