We’re located in the heart of Silicon Valley, in the beautiful city of Menlo Park, California.
Our church was founded and inaugurated on December 18, 1988, in San Carlos, California, under the direction of Bishop Jesus Varela and Pastor Elias Castillo. For the past 38 years, Menlo Park has been our home, and we’re grateful to be part of this wonderful community.
Whether you’re young or young at heart, new to faith or have been walking with God for years, and whatever your age or life story, you are welcome here. We’re a community of people from different backgrounds and walks of life, united by our faith, our love for God, and our desire to serve others.
We are a multigenerational Apostolic community committed to following Jesus Christ, making disciples and living out the message of the Gospel. We believe in the Pentecost experience—the transforming power and presence of the Holy Spirit and we desire to create an environment where people of every generation can encounter God, grow in faith, discover their purpose, and live empowered by the Holy Spirit. Our Pastors
PASTOR ARTURO ARIAS
Founder + Senior Pastor
Pastor Arturo Arias is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Eternal Life Church. For more than 38 years, he has faithfully led the congregation alongside his family with an unwavering commitment to preaching the Word of God, shepherding His people, and investing in the next generation of believers, leaders, and students of all ages.
Pastor Arias is a strong advocate for families, marriages, small groups, discipleship, and spiritual growth, embracing the “Strategy of Jesus” taught within the Apostolic Assembly. He believes that a strong relationship with God is cultivated through consistent prayer, meaningful community, and a commitment to following Jesus.
He is passionate about walking alongside people through their journey of transformation and restoration, believing that one of the greatest privileges of ministry is being present as God changes lives and restores what has been broken.
Pastor Arias also has a deep heart for the mission field. Throughout his years of ministry, he has had the opportunity to serve in various capacities in Mexico, Haiti, Panama, El Salvador, Chile, Nicaragua, and throughout the United States, carrying the Gospel and serving communities wherever God has opened the door.
Pastor Arias and First Lady Mirella are blessed with four children: Neddie Hinojosa, Josh Arias, Ismerai Dominguez, and Abishai Arias. Their growing family also includes three cherished children-in-law—Chris Hinojosa, David Dominguez, and Lily Arias—and nine beloved grandchildren: Kaylen Arias Hinojosa, Merai Pink Dominguez, Kian Domingeuz, Joshua “JJ” Arias, Eden Hinojosa, Noah Arias, Micah Arias, Rocko Arias, and Aly Arias.
Together, they cherish the blessings of family and the joy of building a lasting legacy of faith, love, and service that continues to inspire and impact future generations.
MIRELLA ARIAS
Our First Lady
First Lady Mirella Arias is a strong and faithful source of strength to our Pastor, her family, and the entire Eternal Life Church community. Her dedication, attention to detail, and passion for serving others have been a tremendous blessing to the church since its beginning.
She has a special heart for leading and encouraging women, creating opportunities for them to grow in their faith, discover their God-given purpose, and strengthen their families and relationships.
Her unwavering support, presence, and partnership in ministry have played an invaluable role in the life of our church. She leads with grace, compassion, and a genuine love for people, continually reminding us of the beauty and power of a life devoted to Christ and His Kingdom.
PASTOR JOSH ARIAS
English Pastor
Pastor Josh Arias serves as the English Pastor at Eternal Life Church. He is a graduate of San Francisco State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts, with an emphasis in Television and Music Production, as part of the Class of 2006. He also holds an Associate of Arts degree in Theology from Northern Pacific Coast Bible College.
From an early age, Pastor Josh demonstrated a passion for music, creative production, and bringing people together through impactful experiences. He began organizing and producing live musical events that attracted hundreds and eventually more than a thousand attendees.
In 2005, he fulfilled one of his dreams by serving as the lead producer of Proyecto Alabanza: Yo Soy Un Adorador, Vol. 1, a live Latin Christian worship recording held on August 27, 2005, at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.
The ambitious production brought together an accomplished and diverse group of Christian recording artists, musical arrangers, world renowned musicians, and vocalists, including recognized talents from the Latin Christian music industry. The project reflected his desire to unite creativity, musical excellence, and ministry while creating a worship experience centered on glorifying Jesus Christ.
Passionate about the local church, Pastor Josh believes in the power of creative storytelling, innovative digital experiences, and meaningful personal connections to communicate the Gospel and reach people beyond the four walls of the church. His heart for ministry is rooted in developing Spirit-led disciples, cultivating authentic relationships, and inspiring the next generation to follow Jesus, discover their God-given purpose, and make a lasting impact in their communities.
For Pastor Josh, ministry is also deeply personal. “It is an honor to co-labor with my parents and family,” he shares, reflecting his gratitude for the opportunity to carry forward a legacy of faith, service, and ministry that has helped shape Eternal Life Church across generations. He considers it both a privilege and a responsibility to build upon that foundation while helping lead the church into the future.
Pastor Josh resides in Sunnyvale, California, with his two sons, JJ and Noah. Above all, he considers fatherhood one of his greatest privileges and honors.
